The mobile church was constructed on request of Moscow Patriarchate for the needs of Russian army. It was created at Volgograd transport engineering factory and it functions on the base of KAMAZ automobile.
“In case of operations the church’s dome is removed inside, and two persons set up this church in 4 hours“ – the hegumen Savva Molganov, Vice Chairman of Synod division of Moscow Patriarchate on Relations with Armed forces and Law-enforcement institutions, explains. Savva Molganov and Father Michael were responsible for the functioning of this mobile church during army gatherings in the Nizhniy Novgorod region in June 2009.
